We tend to believe every written and said a word for as long as it was meant to inspire, educate and inform. The only thing we are lacking is to question the motive behind, the content and what does this or that really means. We believe, follow without questioning. If everyone is swimming the same direction one feels awkward to swim against the current. When I was a lifeguard the session I loved was when we were trained to swim against the river current on our themed Wild Wadi Waterpark in Dubai. What I’ve enjoyed it took all of us to feel the pain of doing something different with what our minds and body trained for.
When motivational speakers, preachers and mostly the people we admire deliver their speeches we never get time to question everything they say. We just take as it is and at most, it hits that part of your life that’s been a whole. We hardly digest and ditch out the crap because we don’t believe some of the stuff they say is just garbage. You don’t have to take notes word to word as the speaker talks. You only take what you want to use in the future. We hardly listen. I don’t really take everything a speaker says. If I understand, I do take note sometimes try but most of the time, do nothing but only to be inspired and hyped with absolutely no results. I think I am so lazy and it's my fault.
It amazes me when especially charismatic preachers share their sermons we always say the message was powerful, meanwhile, we mean he was hyperactive, shouting and vibrant. To some that’s powerful. Ok, maybe they mean he uses power to keep us hyped you know! “Nothing stays the same.” That is true. Everything only makes sense and work when you have tried. It all depends on how you take it once it’s said. It works when you implement all of what’s been said because that’s when you realize something works or doesn’t.
Nothing stays the same especially when you are over thirty years old. You realize you are not getting young anymore. When you fall in love with someone it’s all exciting and you don’t see anyone so loving, beautiful, handsome than the person you’ve just met. Later in life for some reasons, no one knows or over time you become just normal people. Now treat each other to such an extent you would be like siblings. Only when you recall, why did we get involved, memories and the day you first met you get back to your first love again. But things are no longer the same because there are kids, gained or lost weight, aging. Indeed, nothing stays the same. The love, the appearance, and conversations.
“Somethings will never change.” The fact. We desire our partners to be what we want them to be and never to consider returning the favour, change or adapt to their lifestyle. No one change we only adapt and compromise. Who you are dating, married and seeking to marry will not completely change especially if the two of you met having passed your teenage stages. Both statements are true. You have to know what you’ve got is what you will always get. Sometimes people pretend to have changed to fit in, pleasing and of course “fake it”, just to be accepted.
Some things and people will never change but people adapt and compromise for stability. The truth of the matter is, everything is temporary. Soon you will get used to everything. Others will remain the same way you met them.
