Science of ripping off people
People are desperate and we are vulnerable to scams. People who scam others all started with good intentions, to empower themselves. There is nothing wrong with that but not at the expense of others.
When I was still active on social media platforms I wouldn’t accept your friend request if you posted pictures of yourself posing in front of your supposedly Lamborghini. I wouldn’t be impressed with you holding cash in front of the big expensive house. Only because I know you are one of the people who are looking for innocent desperate people to prey on.
The science of ripping people off is not really a science. I am only giving it that name because when these professing gurus sell their lies it sounds like really best way from rags to riches. The only thing they are selling you in some pulpits, podiums and seminars is hope. Because everything else you have to do it yourself. All you have to do is sign up for the course, come to Church buy 7 steps to wealth book and money is in their bank account yours is getting thinner.
Someone wrote an article in this platform and said a profound statement: “wealthy people are too busy making working on their wealth to be posting for fame on social media platforms.”
Nowadays, we have celebrity pastors who do nothing but sharpen their sermons that will bring hope to you with with the intentions to rip you off by means of intimidation if you don’t “trust God,” with your money. By means of “planting a seed,” sowing in the good soil(them), buying their books and watch their preaching on certain channel.
Most of these gurus and preachers all started with good intentions to bring about change in the society. Along the way greed took over after an abuse of power. They become good manipulators, orators and motivational speakers. I get it as humans we are born selfish. That’s natural but not at the expense of others.
I do not have a solution as to how to make money except the only thing I know is work. You can be an entrepreneur, self-employed, get inheritance but at the end of the day you have to work to maintain your craft to remain the person you want to become. Whether you are working for someone or yourself wok is work and it is called work for a reason. There is no good wealth coming out of ripping off people.
We have self-proclaimed preachers and prophets in South Africa who are now on the run. Others still hiding behind pulpit with best sermons to rip you off. They are on the run because they ripped off fellow citizens deliberately and some are still doing it.
The science of ripping off people is old and fancy names have come up such as Ponzi and pyramid schemes. That’s the topic for another day. My advice, work. If you have your own business please work, work and focus on your craft others will post about you on their social networks. You will be called for advice sessions. You don’t have to rip off people.
